My Story
Currently living in the NYC area. My life experiences along with my belief in common sense is what makes me a great Coach. Let me tell you a little bit about myself and my style.
I was born in the 60s and raised in the NYC area. I’ve had some good and bad experiences. Both made me the person I am today.
I’ve worked at “Wall Street” firms for most of my life. I worked in the field of technology, supporting a trading floor. As a woman in a field that still is mostly men, I had my challenges, but my work ethic earned me the respect to climb the corporate ladder.
In my fifties, I got my real estate license and did both jobs, so I could grow my nest egg.
That “built up” nest egg came in handy when I was laid off from a company, I committed 28 years to. I had planned for this, so as much as I was disappointed I couldn’t retire from this company, I was prepared to move on.
I obtained my Integrative Nutrition Health Coach Certification because I want to continue helping people and believe I can help both the younger, as well as the older generation.
My life experiences have given me the gift of knowledge. Life is tough sometimes, but we all have the power in us to move past the obstacles. I’ve been through a lot, like most people. Struggled with weight as a kid, grieved the loss of my grandfather, father and brother in my twenties, went through some bad experiences in relationships, became a single parent and raised a man I’m proud to call my son. Through it all I kept excelling and you can too.
I’m the person everyone comes to advice for. I like to listen, really listen to people. I’m a commonsense approach type of person. Common sense, however, is getting pushed under the rug in society and “experts” push the latest trends to solve problems, but the answers are inside of you already. You’ve just pushed them aside. I like to talk it out, come up with solutions you’re comfortable with and make us both accountable for your progress.
Our health is holistic. Its our Spiritual, Mental, Physical and Emotional being. If one of these areas is suffering, our health will suffer. Our beliefs, what we eat, how we move our body, what relationships we have and finances affect each area. I’m very spiritual and believe God is a powerful source in my life. In fact for me, He’s been a huge factor. But hey, if you don’t happen to believe in a higher power, that’s fine, I’ll pray for both of us.
Great meeting you and reach out if you’d like to connect.
